DAVID: I must say I saw this film with misgivings. TWO DAYS IN PARIS? It didn’t sound very enthralling, did it, really? But, like you, I think I was quite charmed by it. I mean, I didn’t expect it would mostly be in English, to begin with, and I thought this view of a French woman director, whose lived in America, of life in Paris seen through the eyes, partly, of an American guy, I thought it had a lot of charm and I think her parents are just splendid characters. It reveals a lot about her, having met her parents.
